EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVES
Through education and knowledge sharing, our education initiatives engage students, universities and schools, and professionals, to empower the youth with our culture of volunteering.
The Public School Support Program and the United Education Support Program aim at empowering our beneficiaries academically, focusing on the Biology, Chemistry, Math, and Physics through remedial support session for Grade 8 and Grade 9.
If you are a Public School or a refugee organization you can benefit from this Academic Support.
Our education programs are based on our student volunteers sourced in partnership with the AUB’s CCECS, LAU’s OCE, and in addition to our partnership with Balamand University, that allow us to engage with university students to give back through our program.
If you are a student in a university or in Grade 12/Terminal you can volunteer as well.
In recent years we expanded our reach to engage with corporations to support them in creating Corporate volunteering and social initiatives, empowering their employees and giving back to society.
Your company can give back too, let us show you how.
BOOKS & CONTENT DEVELOPMENT
MMKN works with professors and professionals (through our Academic and Social Committees) to write and produce our own academic remedial books that are part of our Education Programs.
The Academic Support Manuals for Grade 8 and 9, in addition to English Support Books for Beginners and others, are used by our volunteers to deliver a consistent program helping our students learn and practice.
Our books are available to other organizations and schools which help us financially sustain their update, production and printing. You can also sponsor the academic book distribution to public schools.
Another initiative is the Feel Good book and activities, that focus on Nutrition, Health, Hygiene, and the Environment, for younger students (grades 3, 4, 5, 6) from all walks of life. The initiative includes the Feel Good Book (En., Fr., Ar.), which is also available in Antoine Library across Lebanon.
We are happy to engage with other organizations to deliver the Feel Good activities as part of your programs.
CAPACITY BUILDING
The classroom isn’t the only place we are making an impact.
Our focus on education extends into our ability to extend our programs and initiatives into extra curricular activities, summer camps, and week-end trainings for students. This is fully embodied in our Embracing Potentials initiative, that offers all these activities.
If you are an organization or school looking to benefit from these activities, don’t hesitate to contact us.
MMKN is also dedicated to helping Public School Teachers. We have started organizing a yearly Teacher Capacity building workshop, that focuses on upgrading teachers’ skills with the latest techniques and best practices.
Teachers and schools are welcome to contact us to take part in our workshops.
