LEBANON CRISIS RESPONSE
For the past 12 months Lebanon has experienced extreme economic, financial, social, and political instability, culminating in the August 4th 2020 Beirut Port catastrophe that has rendered a 1/4 of the capital unlivable, left 300,000 homeless, and destroyed most of the Port, which is the main line for food and essential products to the whole of Lebanon.
MMKN has been engaged to support the most vulnerable families and welcome your support in two initiatives:
MMKN FOOD DRIVE
What:
Support vulnerable households with durable food supplies.
Who:
Elderly; Single parent households; Large no income families; Households with members with chronic health issues and handicap.
HOW:
Food Box with non perishable food products, and essential sanitary products.
The MMKN Food Drive aims to support the most vulnerable households that have been impacted the
most by the crisis, and now the devastation of the city
of Beirut.
Your support will help us expand and ensure
sustainable support through non perishable Food products that would last for approximately 1 month.
(We cater our boxes to the needs of the households
and this varies).

MMKN SCHOOL PACKS
what:
Support vulnerable students to be ready for schools (distance and in person).
Who:
Grade 8 and Grade 9 students from Public Schools and refugee organizations.
HOW:
Pack of school essentials and connectivitY with the MMKN Academic Support Manual for Grades 8&9.
Schools are set to be back for the new academic year in less than 3 weeks (in September), let it be for in person learning or distance learning, but many families and children are not ready or equipped to do so.
As part of our crisis response initiatives and our education programs, MMKN's Back to School Pack caters to our vulnerable students in public schools and refugee organizations in Grades 8 and 9.
With your donations and support we are putting together a School Pack that will give students the schooling essentials complementing our existing education programs, and setting them up for distance learning or in person learning.
